Mam Tor - Peak District (UK)

The beginning of Autumn is always a special moment for photography, the leaves start changing colours, the atmospherical conditions can rapidly evolve.
Like many other photographs from the Peak District, this image was captured at my third outing to Mam Tor. On this day, I was all alone, the forecast was predicting thick fog and when I arrived it was the case, you could not see for more than 50 meters. Against my inner voice, I decided to soldier and stay to see if the sunrise would break the fog. And it did, but only for a couple of minutes before the end of Golden hour, then the mist came back and cover back the sun. I will always remember the feeling of achievement hiking back to the car.
