This photograph is a reminder of how the weather can quickly change for the worse in the Peak District. After a failed attempt to shoot Padley Gorge, I kept driving towards Manchester where I was staying for a work conference when it started snowing before I reached Ladybower. I decided to make a stop to where I was (Ladybower) to see what I could capture under the snow. It was like a snowstorm and although when it started the roads were clear of snow, by the time I had captured something I was happy with, the roads were covered with snow. I had a climb through the snake pass to go to my final destination, all that I can say is that this drive is a fond memory of mine.
